RESERVATION POLICY

1.         All reservations made before May must be submitted in writing.  No telephone requests will be taken until May 1st when the campground office opens for the season.

2.          Mailed reservations will begin to be considered on April 15th with NO priority given to the date that they were received.

3.         All reservations must be accompanied by payment covering the first night’s stay for each campsite reserved.  Failure to provide payment will void the reservation request.

4.         All reservations received at least two weeks prior to the first night’s stay will be confirmed by mail.

5.         In order to avoid any confusion on mailed reservations, they should be made on forms provided by the campground.  Prior to May 1st these forms can be obtained at the Hoyt Lakes Municipal Building or at www.hoytlakes.com.

6.         We are setting aside some sites that cannot be reserved and are only available on a first-come, first served basis.  These sites are:  10, 26,29,49,53,58, and 65. 

7.         Reservations will only be held until noon (12 PM) for the day of the reservation unless a deposit is received.  Reservations made by telephone more than 7 days in advance will be expected to be confirmed with a deposit check which must be received within 7 days or the reservation will not be held.

8.         Refunds on cancellations will be made only if the cancellation is received in writing at least 14 days prior to the date for which the campsite is reserved.

9.         All sites have electrical service except the following:  49,69 & 70.

10.         For the following weekends/holidays there is a minimum two night stay required:  Fishing Opener, Memorial Day, Water Carnival, July 4th and Labor Day.  Additionally, there is a two night minimum stay (Friday & Saturday) on weekends.

Campground Rules & Regulations 

Must register at office before choosing a campsite.

All persons using the campsites, picnic grounds or recreation areas of Fisherman’s Point shall comply with the following rules:

A.           Fees for the entire length of the intended stay must be paid upon
arrival.  The manager will not hold a site beyond the days paid.

B.        Keep the campsite, picnic grounds and recreational area in a
clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

C.         All household pets must be kept on a leash at all times and must
 be immediately cleaned up after.

D.         Fires permitted only in grills or fire rings provided for the
camping & picnic area.

E.        It is unlawful to remove any object, deface any property, to cut any tree, to peel the bark of any tree or to make any excavations without the consent of the City.

F.         No firearms shall be discharged within any area of Fisherman’s Point without written permission.

G.         No fishing is permitted from the boat docks and no fish shall be cleaned in any other area except the fish cleaning house.

H.        No person shall create a disturbance which will bother the people in other campsites.

I.        No group or organization of 10 or more shall use any of the facilities of Fisherman’s Point without first receiving permission.

J.          All vehicles must follow the speed limit and shall park in designated areas only.

K.          No person shall camp in Fisherman’s Point without first having registered and paid.

L.        No person shall use the campsite for more than 14 consecutive days.

M.         Fees for the use of campsites are determined by Resolution of the City Council.

N.        No motor vehicle travel into or around the camping area after 10:30 PM, unless a registered camper returning to their campsite.

O.        No one under the age of 18 shall camp overnight unless accompanied by their guardian.

P.        The registration receipt must be displayed on the campsite identification post or in vehicle windshield visible from the road.

Q.         No one shall loiter in the point area after 10:30 PM

R.        Only one camping unit allowed per campsite without permission of Manager; extra charges apply (includes tents; excludes full screened tent not used for sleeping)

S.         Camping in the field will be restricted to marked campsites, unless cleared with the police chief or City Council.

T.         No swimming is permitted from boat docks, fishing pier, campsites, or any other part of Fisherman’s Point Campground.
